The Odyssey
Based on the podcast by Laure Grandbesançon
Set design / Costumes by Cirque Le Roux
Working together
We wanted to take the actors and the audience into a mysterious and playful world. The Odyssey office is a place where anything can happen, the possibilities are endless, a window can hide the arrival of a boat, a luxuriant forest, a door, a tomb, a growing tree... Our aim was to find an identity for the podcast, to give it its own signature. We wanted to create an interchangeable space, where each element could be replaced and/or modified for future editions.
Set design by Gregory Arsenal and Philip Rosenberg of Cirque Le Roux
The show
History is full of extraordinary men and women, madcap destinies and, above all, mysteries... Laure, the lady from Les Odyssées, and her lifelong accomplice Jimmy, the waiter at the Happy Nouilles restaurant, are leading the investigation! Who is Jeanne Barret, the first woman to circumnavigate the globe? How did Howard Carter discover the tomb of Tutankhamen? Will the three astronauts on the Apollo 13 mission make it back to Earth?
From Antiquity to the present day, embark on three wild adventures that will take you from Brazil to Tahiti, via Houston, the moon, Egypt and the dangerous Straits of Magellan. On the seas, underground and in space, Laure and Jimmy will stop at nothing... Welcome to the Odyssey Office, the secret office where all the mysteries of history are solved.
